Epsom & Ewell started on the back foot, with goalkeeper Faebian Witter keeping them in the game early on, making a crucial save in the 11th minute. Two minutes later, Bedfont were awarded a penalty, which they converted to take a 1–0 lead.

In the 33rd minute, Jason Bloor went close with a shot that beat the keeper but drifted just wide of the upright. Shortly afterwards, Bloor won a free-kick, and Tom Collins struck a fine effort that also narrowly missed the target. The hosts went into the break with a one-goal advantage.

Several changes were made for the second half, and Witter was again called into action, making a smart save low to his right. However, minutes later, Bedfont were awarded a second penalty, which they also scored to make it 2–0.

Towards the end of the match, Ali Fofahan forced an excellent save from the home keeper with a powerful effort, as the Salts applied sustained pressure in the final ten minutes. Despite their efforts, the match ended 2–0 to Bedfont.

A valuable workout against higher-level opposition, and sincere thanks go to the our supporters who travelled to cheer on the team this evening.
