The Salts secured all three points on the road after a long midweek trip, delivering a strong team performance.
Epsom & Ewell started brightly, putting Alton under significant pressure early on. The breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Jason Bloor set up Adam Green for a shot that was saved by the Alton goalkeeper. However, the rebound fell to Will Kendall, whose deflected effort off Bloor found the far corner to give the visitors the lead.
The Salts continued to play attacking football, with the defence also impressing by controlling the game from the back. At half-time, the score remained 1–0 in favour of the visitors.
The lead was doubled in the 53rd minute when Jason Bloor was fouled. Skipper Adam Green delivered a free kick to the near post, where Conrad Essilifie-Conduah turned it into the far corner.
Substitutions followed, with Craig Dundas replacing Jason Bloor in the 73rd minute, and Jack Torbett coming on for the injured Ethan Nelson-Roberts in the 80th.
Alton grabbed a late consolation in the 94th minute through Mal Thomas, denying the Salts a deserved clean sheet.
Overall, it was a solid all-round team performance, with Epsom & Ewell earning a well-deserved victory.
