Manager Anthony Jupp has provided an update on the current squad after a difficult few weeks both on and off the pitch

Firstly we welcome goalkeeper Toby Mckimm on loan from Leatherhead. We have also strengthened our back line with Alex Penfold coming back after most recently being with Roffey in the Southern Combination Premier Division.

Two new attackers join the ranks, with George Owusu joining from Sutton Common Rovers and Jaan Stanley joining from Raynes Park Vale respectively.

We recently posted a statement regarding Aaron Bogle, who wasn’t named at the time but we can now confirm Aaron has left the club. Following Aaron is Kam Zain who has decided to leave the Salts following the events of last weekend.

Roan Strong has been recalled by South Park, although Roan didn’t make a competitive appearance for us, we still thank him for his time with us and wish him all the best in the future.

Finally, Josh Owen has decided to take a break from football following the birth of his first baby. We wish Josh good luck in the future and he will always be welcome back.

With players coming and going, we still have a few players nursing injuries.

Johnny “Sonic” Akoto pulled up in our recent friendly with South Park. After assessments, it appears “Sonic” has a hamstring issue which will keep him sidelined for a few more weeks. Alongside “Sonic”, Jamie “Busy” Byatt is also recovering from a slight hamstring strain which will also keep him out for a couple more weeks.

Gideon Acheampong missed Saturdays win away to Hailsham Town with a slight calf strain but is likely to return for our next fixture in nine days time at home against Arundel.

Finally, Ben Bauchop has likely seen his season cut short after he has a suspected torn MCL.

We will continue to provide updates on our injury list and hope to see all those back on the pitch soon.

All other players are fit and available.
