With only four played a great ball in from Steve Springett to skipper Brad Peters who won the header and found Jaevon who headed over the keeper for us to go one nil up. The Billingshurst keeper was forced into two excellent saves to keep them in the game. Just before halftime, Jaevon was replaced with Josh Alder as he was injured. It was still one nil to Epsom & Ewell at halftime.
The second half started with all the play from Epsom and in the 51st minute, Athan played a great ball down the left for Josh Owen to fire home, to make it two-nil to the Salts. In the 54 minutes, a header from Steve Springett found Josh Alder to fire home, to make it three nil to Epsom. Epson used all the rest of their subs including welcoming back the top goal scorer from last season, Jamie Byatt who scored 31 goals for us last season. In the 78th minute Jobbins from Billingshurst went in with skipper Brad Peters but his strength was too much for Jobbins the referee awarded a penalty to the surprise of everyone on the ground. Billingshurst scored from the penalty spot for us to concede our first goal in 438 minutes. The fine home win keeps us top of the League and four points clear of the top.
